UR GR8! Cards for the Teen Boy.

Have a teen boy? Need some help creating masculine cards? I'm here for you! Make sure to check out my blog post, "Using Masculine Cardmaking Materials for the Men in Your Life", for a few ideas.

UR GR8 card

Title: UR GR8
Card Base: 5” x 7”

Supplies: Patterned paper (Basic Grey - Archaic), craft metal, embossing folder, die cut machine, sand paper, brads, letter stickers, journaling pen

1.      Cut paper to size.
2.      Run craft metal through die cut machine in embossing folder. Cut to size. Sand raised edges.
3.      Attach to metal panel with brads in corners.
4.      Attach to card base.
5.      Attach paper strip 6.75” x 0.5” below metal piece.
6.      Add letter sticker to right of metal piece.
7.      Outline letters with journaling pen.

Mesh Son card

     Title: Son birthday card
     Card Base: 5” x 7”

Patterned paper, screen repair material, sentiment sticker, thin metal washer embellishment, epoxy sticker circle embellishment

1.      Cut papers to size.  Adhere to card base.
2.      Cut screen to size. Adhere to card base. I used tacky glue with a paintbrush and painted the glue onto the wrong side of the screen.  You can’t even see the glue. A Xyron machine would work just as well.
3.      Cut paper strip to size and adhere vertically to screen.
4.      Add sticker sentiment.
5.      Glue washers to card. I use Diamond Glaze for metal accents.
6.      Add epoxy accents to centers.

Hope you have a crafty day!
