Birthday Cards for Young Boys

Gearing handmade birthday cards to young boys might not be too much of a challenge as long as you use the right colors and embellishments.

These cards were originally made for an online workshop I previously taught with Jeri Parks and Linda Dotterer called "Card Boot Camp: Boys to Men".


100% Boy birthday card






Title: 100% Boy
Card Base: 4.25” x 5.5”

Supplies:
Cardstock (Bazzill), patterned paper (Cosmo Cricut - Little Boys Biography Collection), rubber stamp sentiment, ink (Ranger Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pad, Vintage Photo ), rub-on sentiment, chipboard star (Advantus Corporation Heidi Swapp Chipboard Metallic Shapes , Stars Gold 18/Package )

Instructions:
  1. Cut papers to size, ink edges, and adhere to card base.
  2.  Add rub-on  and stamped sentiments.
  3.  Adhere chipboard star.



Happy Birthday dinosaur card

Title: Happy Birthday!
Card Base: 4.25” x 5.5”

Supplies:
Cardstock (Bazzill); Patterned paper, image rub-ons (Basic Grey - Archaic); black journaling pen, ink; photo corner (Heidi Swapp); foam dots

Instructions:

  1. Cut papers to size and ink edges, if desired.
  2.  Add photo corner to card panel and adhere to card base.
  3. Cut paper strip to size. Add rub-ons and adhere to card panel.
  4.  Add rub-on image to cardstock, trim closely and attach to card using foam dots.
