Christmas Cards, Tags, and Bags using Sketches, Part 9

Peace card
Title: “Peace” card
Basic Info:
  • Sketch #9
  • Card Base: 4.25” x 5.5”
  • Measurements: A- 4”x 5.25”, B- 3” x 3.25”


Supplies: Cardstock, paper, skeleton leaf, border punch, chipboard sentiment, sewing machine, thread

Instructions:
1.      Cut A to size and adhere to card base.
2.      Cut B to size and adhere to card base.
3.      Machine stitch perimeter of A and B.
4.      Punch paper with border punch and adhere below B.
5.      Adhere skeleton leaf to B.
6.      Adhere sentiment on leaf.

Peace, Love, Joy card

Title: “Peace Love Joy” card
Basic Info:
  • Sketch #9
  • Card Base: 4.25” x 5.5”
  • Measurements: A- top piece 5.25” x 1.5”, bottom piece 5.25” x 2.5”, B – 2.25” x 3”

 Supplies: Cardstock, paper, border punch, chipboard star, sentiment stamp, gold ink, sewing machine, metallic thread

Instructions:
1.      Cut bottom of A to size.  Punch bottom edge with border punch.  Adhere to lower edge of card.
2.      Cut top of A to size.  Adhere to top edge of card.
3.      Cut B to size and adhere on top of A.
4.      Machine stitch sides and top of A and perimeter of B.
5.      Adhere chipboard star to B.
6.      Stamp sentiment at bottom of B.


Holiday Magic card

Title: “Holiday Magic” card
Basic Info:
  • Sketch #9
  • Card Base: 4.25” x 5.5”
  • Measurements: A- 4”x 5.25”, B- 3” x 3”,

 Supplies: Cardstock, paper, ribbon, trim, glitter glue, die cut sentiment

Instructions:
1.      Cut A to size.  Adhere to card front.
2.      Tie ribbon around front flap and knot in front of card.
3.      Cut B to size and adhere to A, just below ribbon.
4.      Adhere die cut sentiment to B.
5.      Adhere trim below B.
6.      Add dots of glitter glue on sentiment.


Happy Holidays tag

Title: “Happy Holidays” tag
Basic Info:
  • Sketch #9
  • Tag Base: 2.75” x 5.75”
  • Measurements: B- 2.5” x 3.25”

Supplies: Cardstock, paper, skeleton leaf, ink pad, buttons, ribbon, border punch, sentiment strip

Instructions:
1.      Punch bottom of tag with border punch.
2.      Cut B to size, ink edges, and adhere to tag 1.25” from top.
3.      Adhere skeleton leaf to B.
4.      Cut thin strip of paper and adhere above B.
5.      Adhere sentiment strip above scalloped edge.
6.      Adhere buttons below B.
7.      Add ribbon to tag hole.

Merry Christmas gift bag

Title: “Merry Christmas” gift bag
Basic Info:
  • Sketch #9
  • Bag Base: 10” x 13”
  • Measurements: B- 6.75” x 6”

Supplies: Patterned paper, ribbon, die cut Santa, chipboard sentiment, white jumbo rickrack, letter rub-ons, black journal pen

Instructions:
1.      Cut B to size and adhere to bag 3.25” from top.
2.      Adhere sentiment at bottom of B.
3.      Adhere Santa with foam squares on right edge of B.
4.      Adhere rickrack below B.
5.      Add rub-on letters.
6.      Create faux stitching with journaling pen on perimeter of B.
