I've Got You Covered! Post-it Note Tutorial

I'm a sucker for a pack of Post-it notes. That repositionable sticky is such genius and oh-so-useful! So when I saw this cute craft to make a little covered booklet for them, I fell in love. I think you will, too. Use up your scraps and make a few as gifts. Your friends will thank you.

Come see how easy it is to make this...

  • 2 pieces thin cardboard, 3-1/2” x 3-1/2”
  • Patterned paper: 2 pieces 4-1/2” x 4-1/2” (cover), 2 pieces 3-1/2” x 3-1/2” (inside cover), 1 piece 3-1/2” x 3-1/2” (binding)
  • Ribbon, 16”
  • 1 pack of Post-it notes

Paper Trimmer
Adhesive - wet and dry

1. Outer covers - Spread a think amount of glue on one side of each of the cardboard pieces, or use an adhesive runner. Center each piece of cardboard on the wrong side of the 4.5" x 4.5" paper. Miter the corners and fold each edge over the cardboard, gluing the edges down.

2. Inside cover: Take the 3 ½”x 3 ½” paper and glue it on top of the wrong side of each cover.  I had to trim down my piece just a bit.

3. Lay down the 3 ½” x 3 ½” binding paper with the wrong side up.  Attach the center point of the ribbon horizontally to the middle of the binding piece. (I drew diagonal lines for instructional purposes only.)

4. Attach the front and back covers:  Glue the binder paper (with the ribbon attached), to the outside of the covered cardboard pieces, allowing about ½” space to fold over and close covers.

5. Attach the Post-it pad to the right inside cover.

6. Close booklet and tie ribbon.

Adjust the size of your supplies and use larger Post-it pad.
