My Creative Classroom has more new teachers!

We're getting ready for a new year at My Creative Classroom . And even though I have been ill and am taking a bit of a leave of absence, they have been gearing up with new classes and new teachers. And can I say that these newest teachers are the cream of the crop? They most certainly are! Click on their names in the left hand column of this blog where I have listed MCC staff and find out more about them: Terri Martin, Cindi Rippe, Ellen Heaney, and Lara Scott.

Check them out at the MCC website. They've just been anounced. I do think they will get your heart all a'flutter. Now we have quite a large roster of great teachers to choose from with ranging talents in the most all of the arts that should satisfy anyone's tastes.

As soon as I am back to 100% or there abouts, I will be back to teaching. I have a good number of classes already waiting in the wings to be unveiled once I am ready. So go check out the new and improved website and the new teachers. I think you'll be happily surprised. :D

More crafting....

Made a few embellies last week.

I have a ton of these Bazzill Chips in circle, square, rectangle and oval. I have been meaning to do something with them for a long time.

So here's a few of what I have started to work on. Yeah, they are more "blingy" than I normally create, but I just felt like they needed it. I wanted to make a large piece with a collage of these pieces, but I am thinking that these will be way too "blingy" to put them on one they may not all make it on one piece...who knows. W'ell have to see where they end up.

But I'm having fun making them. :D

Recouperating and creating...

I am recouperating from my angiogram which was Friday. All went well. I was actually much more scared than I needed to be. I was not sedated and really it was not a big deal. I will have a few procedures in a few weeks that will take care of a some things that have been causing the headaches and after that I should be as good as new, thank God.

So until then I am crafting and fixin' suppers for my family. Here and there I am walking the dog, but not these last few in Florida it is FREEZIN"! Literally. We Floridians don't do well with the cold. We don't have winter clothes. I mean a sweatshirt and jeans doesn't exactly do well in freezing temperatures. Sure it warms up a bit during the day, but I'm not walking the dog when it's in the 40's. Over the weekend it will be in the 70's during the day. Now that's the kind of weather we like for "winter". Jeans and a T-shirt, thank you!

Just found this photo from last year at Thanksgiving. I made this gift for my MIL. No special occasion. I'm on a creative roll right now. MIL is in the center of the picture in the brown shirt, surrounded by my family of boys and her best friends from Miami. It's in a shadowbox. She's gonna love it. The shadowbox is from Ikea, the patterned paper is from Scenic Route - Sonoma, the heart is Cosmo Cricket's Buck Naked Buttons, and crushed velvet ribbon from Stampington & Co. (gotta love everything that comes from Stampington!)

Happy New Year

Well the New Year is definitely upon us and it has come so fast this year. With being sick the last quarter of the year, it has literally flown by me. It was one of those things that I never would have thought that I would have STILL been sick in November much less in December and now into January!!

Well, I can tell you that I am glad I was born in the times of medicine. It is amazing what a doctor can do by combining them in such a way as to hold back a migraine so I can live an almost normal life. I am on a concoction of medicines am and pm and it has brought the level of pain now (scale from 1-10) to about a 3-4, where I used to be living with a 6-8 and visiting the ER and hospital fairly regularly...this was back in October and November...not fun!!

I have a new Neurologist who is a Headache Specialist and who is totally taking charge of my medical life...I like that. He tells me what test I need and who I need to see. His office sets up the appointment and I's great. Because, really, what do I know? If someone doesn't tell me what I need to do , how do I know?? I am totally relying on this guy to lead the way to my healing. And he's pulling out all the stops. I am getting more MRI's, seeing a NeuroOphthalmologist and more. Half the time I don't even know what I'm going there for, I just show up!

So...I am hoping for a Happy New about you? It's just starting out...there's lots of hope...I've got hope...I've been praying alot. My God has me in his hands so I am never alone.
